Black Chick Media, LLC, a Columbus, OH based international consulting firm, specializes in the creative and exciting function areas of brand development, DEIA+ belonging policy, business growth, and specialty marketing. Utilizing various techniques, social media channels, and digital tools, we drive web traffic, engage audiences, run social campaigns, create marketing strategies and contribute unique content to your follower base. We also assist business owners and organizations with strategic planning, project management, and securing funding.

Founded by Keya Crenshaw, in 2013, Black Chick Media, delivers proven bespoke results. We are committed to influencing optimal engagement growth, while exceeding our client's expectations.

    Keya Crenshaw, Founder & Creative Director of Black Chick Media, is a Film Festival Consultant and Writer with over 15 years in the industry. She has worked with The Brooklyn Arts Council, The Women of African Descent Film Festival, The San Francisco Black Film Festival, The Columbus Black International Film Festival, The Hollywood Black Film Festival and the Columbus Post Newspaper, just to name a few. She holds degrees with honors in Film Studies and Women’s Studies from The Ohio State University, and has a love of everything film. As a published film and theater critic, she is trained in the craft of film and performance studies theory; Keya brings extensive experience to her work. 

    As a creative entrepreneur and actor, Keya is a member of numerous organizations including the League of Professional Theatre Women based in New York City, the So and So Arts Club based in London, England, and Past Productions Columbus. Her most recent book chapter, Unbought & Unbossed: Black Womanist Resistance and the Power of Holding Space, was published in 2021 by The University of Arizona Press.

    Sam Joseph, Marketing, Branding, and Social Media Director, is highly adventurous and incredibly ambitious, and has his sights set on ruling the world someday. To make a long story short (thankfully...), Sam aspires to live his life to the fullest, to learn constantly, and never stop having fun, all while maintaining his wicked sense of humor (and style!). Sam is pleased to be a part of the Black Chick Media Team as it continues to grow and prosper. Looks like he's on his way to world domination after all.
